Seacoast Home Learners (SHL) is an inclusive, non-directed support group for homeschooling families in the seacoast area of southern Maine, NH, and northern MA.  As a group we focus on our common ground of living and learning without school, while accepting that we may have a diverse array of beliefs and philosophies about education and life in general.  The group is intended for homeschoolers who want to meet with other homeschoolers, and not as as an on-line support group.  There are many opportunities to gather with local homeschooling families, such as weekly Park Days,  spontaneous play dates and field trips, occasional adult and/or family gatherings.  Also a learning coop is currently in the works for Fridays in Portsmouth.  All of these are posted on the Yahoo Group.
